Restaurant Review: MUSHA
Categories: Japanese, Asian Fusion
Neighborhood: Santa Monica
We opened the menu to find some of it handwritten in Japanese with explanations in English, which makes it look like they change out their specials daily.
My husband, who is a vegetarian, was shocked to see how many vegetarian dishes they offer - tofu fries, tofu nuggets, combination platters of pickled veggies, sweet potato fries with dipping sauce and so much more.
I got the lobster roll, which was amazing, really full of meat and no nonsense filling of rice. My husband got the Buddist feast of veggies and soy meat. We both shared the pickled vegetables and salads.
The only thing I would recommend if you are tight on cash is to skip the appetizers of salads and pickled veggies - they were really small portions for the almost the same price as our entrees. They were still really good, but just a note if you want to save some money.
Since we are so close, and even if we weren't, we will definitely be back. Another couple near us, had this grilled meat platter where it looks like you grill the meat and veggies on your own personal grill they bring out - I definitely want to try that next time.
This is one of our favorite finds.
