Food BBQ Safety Tips for July 4th!

Tip 1:  Wash your hands
Wash your hands with warm water and soap before touching any food – uncooked or cooked.

Tip 2: Don’t reuse marinade
Don’t reuse the marinade or taste it after raw meat has been added.

Tip 3: Check foods before eating
Don’t take any chances - invest in a meat thermometer.

Tip 4: Keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold
Keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold by serving foods with mayo on ice beds if they will sit out for a while. And keep burgers on a turned off grill to keep warm.

Tip 5: Refrigerate leftovers
Do not let perishable foods sit out longer than 2 hours in hot temperatures.
